We were supposed to go back tomorrow (Tuesday), but we ended up going in today because I've had some crazy swelling over the weekend. My feet look like balloons, I now have cankles, and even the joints in my hands are stiff and my right thumb tingles. Fun! So they got me in today to see Dr. Beckford, who broke the news gently: the swelling is in the realm of "normal," this baby is still at -1, we are still 2cm dilated, and the only thing that's change is that we are now 60% effaced vs. the 50% we were last Monday. My cervix is still too far back to be considered "ripe," so there will be no induction this week. We go back next Monday at 9am for another update. Dr. Beckford says that if my cervix has ripened up by then, they can schedule an induction for next week sometime, but that's a big "if" and I'm not holding my breath. The interesting news out of today's visit is that Dr. Beckford thinks Chloe now weighs around 8 pounds. I can hear what you all must be saying right now...
The other good news to share is that B will be home now through next Tuesday, and should Chloe get herself together, then B will thankfully be here. So that's it in a nutshell. In the meantime, we'll keep going on our three walks a day, drinking Red Raspberry Leaf tea, and contemplating the castor oil again (but only if we get really desperate). Thanks to everyone for thinking of us and say a prayer that this baby comes out before she is big enough to walk out! Love, B & C

Well, I can say after going into labor on my own and being induced, my vote would be for it to happen on its own.
I missed the element of surprise with Cooper. It was exciting to be at home in my element relaxing and waiting.
So, my advice to to just sit back and relax and get rest as cliche as it is to say that. You really have no idea how much you will miss that rest once she gets here.
