Our big girl went for her two-month well check last Thursday, and we are happy to report that she weighs 11 lbs., 6 oz., and is 25 inches long! That means that she gained three pounds from the Monday before Christmas to last Thursday. She has also grown almost 4 inches since she was born. Wow! She's in the 75th percentile for her height and for the size of her big ol' melon, and the 50th percentile for her weight. As Juju put it "she's definitely filled out." So not only has she been eating and growing like crazy, but she's also become so much more aware of everything around her. It's like she's just taking it all in. She likes to hang out in her swing or on her activity mat (thanks Aunt Colleen and Uncle Kevin!). She has started to make noises other than crying, though I am not sure you'd call it "cooing" just yet. She definitely smiles at you, and she loves to be talked to. Chloe is also still sleeping in her crib all night--she goes down around 8:30, wakes up around 1:30 for a feeding, then back down till about 6:30 if we're lucky. Though that 6:30 is starting to feel just a little too early to start the day... I've tried feeding her and putting her back down one more time (it is, afterall, still dark out!), but she's not too crazy about that. We'll keep fighting the good fight on that one...
Other than that, there is just alot of growing, eating, and sleeping around here. I've taken her with me a few times I've gone to tutoring since B's been out of town, and that's been interesting. Though the mothers seem to love her: they push her around the house in her stroller if she's crying or feed her a bottle, so we are definitely lucky that way. My students are so dedicated to their work, they don't even flinch. We'll just keep that going! :)
Below is a great picture Juju took of Chloe hanging out in her swing, being her observant little self. Can't you just see the wheels turning in her head? Just like her Daddy... Hope you all have a great week! Love, Brandon, Charlotte, and Chloe
PS: Look how much she's grown!!
